[Case Study] Company I - Molded Parts for Infrastructure
Evaluation of BCP response leads to order! Introduction of a case study that addresses the strong demand for continuity in parts supply!
We received an inquiry from Company I regarding molded parts for infrastructure. While cost and quality of the parts are of course important, what was specifically requested this time was BCP (Business Continuity Plan) compliance. Since the equipment is expected to be in continuous production, a strong emphasis was placed on the continuity of parts supply. Given the recent abnormal weather, we must always consider the risk of being caught in a sudden disaster. Therefore, we assumed a scenario where manufacturing at our headquarters would be halted. We took preemptive measures such as preparing spare molds and, in anticipation of difficulties in manufacturing supply at headquarters, we decided to store two months' worth of inventory at Niigata Takawa as a response to potential disasters or troubles, which led to the order. [Challenges] ■ Stable quality ■ Minimum cost for high-volume parts ■ Ability to continue production *Many other cases are also published.
